Fall 2022 Beat Tape

As a seasoned music producer, I constantly experiment with my sound, connecting with producers and artists from around the world to learn new workflows and to collaborate with people that share a passion for electronic music. This was especially the case during my first two years at UVA as I was consistently making trap beats, collaborating with other producers, and selling my instrumentals to small rappers. Immersing myself in the underground rap scene eventually exposed me to the trap sub-genre plugg&b. Combining the knocking drums and 808 basses from trap beats with the beautifully layered melodies of r&b, plugg&b is a truly unique sound that resonates with me deeply. In 2022 I joined a plugg&b collective, working closely with rappers and producers specializing in the genre who've inspired me and continue to push my music to the next level. One of my first contributions to the collective was creating a plugg&b beat tape in October 2022, "Fall Samples 2k22," a snapshot of my favorite plugg&b beats I produced during that time. This tape is an instrumental part of the "Complexion" project and has established my name in the plugg&b world.
